During the Discovery Phase we work with our client to define the project, plan an approach and design an underlying structure.

Project Definition and Planning

More often than not clients know they need a new web site or communication piece but are not completely sure as to the scope of the project or their exact requirements. Clearly defining a project will guarantee that the final product meets its requirements and is delivered on time.

Planning a project entails defining who will be responsible for what, what the deadlines are and what materials will be required. By organizing content up front the information architecture and design components of the project are more efficient and effective. For a web site content can include copy, images, logos, and downloads. For an HTML email content can include messaging, email lists and landing pages copy.

Information Architecture

Information architecture is the process of organizing the content involved with the project into logical components that your audience will understand. It is often overlooked but is integral in creating a successful web site or communication piece. For a web site information architecture includes designing the navigation structure, or main "buttons" as well as defining the hierarchy of components on individual page. It also includes defining processes and procedures that users will interact with such as registrations or ecommerce checkout.

By working with our clients to organize their content we are able to help them understand how to better communicate with their audiences. Very often our clients have so much to say that they are somewhat overwhelmed, even internally. By approaching the project from an outside point of view we are able to help them organize information and messaging, as their audience will understand and comprehend it.
